A long, tracking shot of miniature people as they descend a set of outdoor stairs covered with vines.Late-summer, blush-coloured blossoms so full that thin stalks bend under their own weight. Dew has just dried from the grass. This group of people walk slowly, evenly, one at a time, as if choreographed in their precision. Delicate clouds decorate the edge of the afternoon sky. Due to the calculated normalcy of the scene before us, we infer that something isn't quite right. Then, movement: the people begin to blur, the sky goes grey, and everything we see duplicates, and then again, until finally the whole garden indexes into infinity. Multiples into multiples, each petal, eyelash, pebble copied from a copy. By the time the camera stops moving, the scene is unrecognizable, a mix of originals and replicas, echoes of an echo.
