At first, Dan’s voice takes center stage inviting an audience to ponder and participate in the worst systems the world has to offer, before offering a warning, “Don’t listen, don’t let them take your head.” The bottom drops out, gravity passing through a sinkhole of gemlike arpeggios and percussive acceleration. The forever distant synth pads serve as a pillow for survival and echoes of purgatorial wonder in equal measure, positing how at rest the head is and how much of it is already gone.
